Our volunteer teachers prepare the students to achieve high school credit by providing coursework throughout the school year, along with special classes during summer. Additionally, targeted coaching is offered to students preparing for exams in the new computerized format. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>How does one register for the exam? When is the credit exam held and where? <\/span><\/div>

Students must meet with their school counselors to register. Registration usually opens in September and closes around October. Exam schedule and venue are communicated by the counselors. School counselors have the most up-to-date information.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A student may take the exam twice. In other words, students who are not successful the first time may try once more.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

High school students can satisfy the world language requirements for an Advanced High School Diploma<\/a> in one of the two ways:
1. Earn 3 credits<\/strong> in Tamil Language Credit Exam or
2. Earn 2 credits<\/strong> in Tamil Language Credit Exam and 2 credits <\/strong>in an additional World language.

Proficiency in a World Language is evidence of a student\u2019s readiness for career and college,\u00a0and for engagement as a global citizen.

Students can also get Virginia Seal of Bi-Literacy<\/a><\/strong> on their high school diploma.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n
