Thamizh fair celebration
After the successful start of the Thamizh fair last week, we proudly present “the final part” of the celebrations this Saturday – January 30th between 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. You can watch the program here: YouTube link, VTA homepage.
We request all members to join in the virtual event and encourage the kids.
Developing kids’ thamizh learning
Last week, VTA conducted discussion groups all week with teachers on making improvements to our study materials. Feedback on online classes were also obtained. On that regard, we request that parents encourage their kids to follow online class etiquette such as keeping the camera on in class and avoid chatting with friends.

Thamizh Sangam Thirukkural essay competition
There is still time to submit your essays for the Thirukkural essay competition conducted by the Tamil Sangam of Greater Washington. The last date for sending your submissions is January 31, 2021. Middle school kids in 8th grade are also eligible to participate in this competition. Please click this link for additional details.

வ.த.மை இணையவழித்தமிழ்க்கண்காட்சி
தமிழ்க் கண்காட்சியின் முதல் பாகம் சென்ற சனிக்கிழமை கோலாகலமாக நடந்தேறியது. அதன் இறுதி பாகம் இந்த சனிக்கிழமை (சனவரி 30) மாலை 4:30-க்கு நடைபெறவிருக்கிறது. நிகழ்ச்சியில் இணைந்து குழந்தைகளின் படைப்புகளை பார்க்க வேண்டுகிறோம். நிகழ்ச்சிக்கான இணைப்புகள்: YouTube நேரலை, நம் பள்ளி வலைப்பக்கம்
குழந்தைகளின் தமிழ்க்கல்வி மேம்பாட்டு நடவடிக்கைகள்
சென்ற வாரம் வ.த.மை நிர்வாகக்குழு நிலை வாரியாக ஆசிரியர்களுடன் கலந்துரையாடல்கள் நடத்தியது. வகுப்புகள், புத்தகங்கள் பற்றிய அவர்களின் பின்னூட்டங்களை உள்வாங்கி, குழந்தைகளின் தமிழ்க்கல்வி மேம்பாட்டிற்கு நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுக்கப்பட உள்ளன. அதன் அடிப்படையில் பெற்றோர்கள் இணையவழி வகுப்பிற்கான பரிந்துரைகளை (கேமராவை செயலில் வைப்பது, சக மாணவர்களுடன் அரட்டையில் ஈடுபடாமல் இருப்பது) குழந்தைகள் பின்பற்ற ஊக்குவிக்குமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம். புத்தகங்கள் பற்றிய உங்கள் பின்னூட்டங்களை இங்கே பகிரவும்
தமிழ் சங்கம் திருக்குறள் கட்டுரை போட்டி
வாஷிங்டன் வட்டார தமிழ் சங்கத்தின் திருக்குறள் கட்டுரை போட்டிக்கு கட்டுரைகள் அனுப்ப இன்னும் நேரம் இருக்கிறது – சனவரி 31, 2021 க்குள் அனுப்பலாம். கவுண்டி நடுநிலை பள்ளிகளில் எட்டாம் வகுப்பு படிக்கும் குழந்தைகளும் இப்போட்டியில் பங்கு பெறலாம். மேலும் விவரங்களுக்கு இங்கே பார்க்கவும்.
