• நவம்பர் 9 & 16 தேதிகளில் ஸ்டோன் பள்ளியில் வேறு நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடைபெற இருப்பதால் – தமிழ் வகுப்புகள் இருக்காது. நாட்காட்டியில் குறித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.  

• தொழில்நுட்பக்குழுவுக்கு உதவி தேவைப்படுகிறது. கீழ்க்கண்ட துறைகளில் அனுபவம் இருந்தால் தொடர்பு கொள்ளுங்கள்.

• நவம்பர் 2 நடைபெறும் வாசிங்டன் தமிழ்ச்சங்கத்தின் “குழந்தைகள் தின விழா”வில் தங்கள் குழந்தைகள் பங்கேற்க விருப்பமா? கலைக்குழுவைத் தொடர்பு கொள்ளுங்கள். 

• மனதை ஒருமுகப்படுத்தி ஒரே நேரத்தில் பல்வேறு செயல்களைச் செய்யக்கூடிய கவனகக்கலை நிகழ்ச்சி (நடத்துநர்: கவனகக்கலைஞர் திரு. கலைச்செழியன்) – நம் பள்ளி உறுப்பினர்களுக்காகத் தனியே நடைபெற இருக்கிறது. இந்த அற்புதமான கலையைப் பற்றி நேரில் அறிந்து கொள்ள உடன் பதிவு செய்யுங்கள். நவம்பர் 17 மாலை 3 மணி

• இலௌடன் கவுண்டி கம் ஸ்பிரிங் நூலகத்தில் (24600 Millstream Dr, Stone Ridge, VA 20105) தமிழ் நூல்கள் வழங்கப்படுவதை முன்னிட்டுத் தொடக்க விழா – டிசம்பர் 15 மாலை 3:30-5 மணிக்கு நடைபெறும். அன்று ஒரு நிமிடம் தமிழ் வாசிப்பு நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெறும். மாணவர்களிடம் தமிழ் வாசிப்பை ஊக்கப்படுத்துவதற்காக நடத்தப்படும் ($5 SweetFrog ஊக்கப்பரிசு) இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்து கொள்ள உடன் பதிவு செய்யுங்கள் – ஒரு நிமிட வாசிப்பு.     

• வகுப்புகளுக்கு ஆசிரியர்கள் தேவை இன்னும் இருக்கிறது. உதவுமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம்.  ஆர்வம் உள்ளவர்கள் தொடர்பு கொள்ளுங்கள் – ஆசிரியர் குழு 

• இவ்வாண்டு பாட நூல்/பயிற்சி நூல்களைப் பற்றிய தங்கள் கருத்துகளை (திருத்தங்கள்/மாற்றங்கள்), தயவுசெய்து இந்தப் படிவத்தில் பதிவு செய்யுங்கள்.

• மாணவர்களின் முழுப் பெயரைத் தமிழில் உள்ளிடுமாறு அனைவரையும் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம். ஆண்டு விழாவுக்கான போட்டிகளில் பதிவு செய்யவும் மற்றும் ஆண்டு இறுதியில் வழங்கப்படும் சான்றிதழ்களில் சரியான பெயர் இருப்பதை உறுதி செய்யவும் இது அவசியம். தயவுசெய்து மாணவர்களின் முழுப்பெயர் – சான்றிதழ்களில் காட்டப்படும்படி (ஆங்கிலம் மற்றும் தமிழ்) – சரியாக உள்ளதை உறுதிப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

• https://my.valluvantamil.org/ தளத்தில் தமிழ்ப்பெயரை உள்ளிட வேண்டும். குறிப்பு: தமிழ்ப்பெயரை உள்ளிட்ட பிறகே மற்ற விசயங்களை உங்களால் செய்ய முடியும். ஆண்டுவிழாப்போட்டிகள் பதிவு செய்ய இது அவசியம். ஆகவே கூடியவிரைவில் சரியான தமிழ்ப்பெயரை உள்ளிடவும்.

• Washington Tamil Sangam is conducting “குழந்தைகள் தின விழா” On November 02nd, 2019. Would you like your kids to participate in this event to represent our school? Please email the Cultural team. 

• VTA Session with Mr. Kalai Chezhiyan about “multi-tasking by mind” on Nov 17, 2019 (Sunday) at 3 pm. Please RSVP! 

• Tamil Books Inauguration at Gum Spring Library on Dec 15th, 3.30 PM to 5 PM. Refer below for a chance to win a $5 Sweetfrog gift card by participating in One Minute Reading.

We invite you and your kids to participate in the Tamil Books collection celebration and encourage your kids to join in Tamil Reading Program. 

When:

December 15th, 2019, Sunday, 3:15 PM to 5 PM

Meeting Room A – Gum Spring Library,  24600 Millstream Dr, Stone Ridge, VA 20105

Why:

 Tamil Books Collection Celebration and encourage students to read Tamil Books

1600+ Books in Virginia Libraries:

More than 1600 Tamil books are available at three libraries in two different Virginia Counties. Brambleton Library @ Loudoun County started to host 530+ books beginning Dec 1st, 2018, Gum Springs Library @ Loudoun County will begin to organize 750+ books starting Dec 1st, 2019 and Chantilly Regional Library @ Fairfax County started to host 75+ books beginning Oct 1st, 2019.

Rules for $5 Sweetfrog Gift card for one minute Tamil books reading:

1. Students should borrow Tamil books from one of the above libraries and read it for one minute.

2. Open to all Virginia Tamil learning students and lives in the USA for more than five years (age 7 to 18 years old).

3. Initial screening will be done through audio or video recording one week before the program date.

4. All participants on the program day will get the Gift card if they read one minute ( One minute exact reading – not more or less).

4. If there are more than 30 participants, we will schedule another session to encourage the reading since we have limited time booking at the Library.

To participate please fill One Minute Reading  

• Please make sure we have your child’s official name in both English and Tamil and as to how you want them to be displayed on the certificates/letters.

• Parents log in to My Valluvan. As soon as you log in, a pop window will come up to enter the information. Unless you enter the information you are not able to go to any other screens within the site. It is absolutely essential to finish this task before you register your child for any cultural competition events. (PS: You can use google translate or Tamil Font keyboard and type your child’s name and copy paste Tamil name into the field.)

• We are still in need of volunteers at all the committees.  Please sign up @ Volunteer sign up especially for the logistics team and class parent team .  Gentle reminder it is mandatory to do 20 hours of volunteer time to all members.

For the first time, our Ila Mazhalai Marudham and kuRinjii went on a field trip to Frying Pan Farm Park as part of their engaging class activity.  The teacher’s organized a Scavenger hunt to learn animal names in Tamil.
